SomatoEmotional Release®/
Somatic & Creative Process
A living field of practice bridging body, emotion, and imagination.
Inviting deep integration and creative emergence.
The Evolution
SomatoEmotional Release (SER) emerged from the work of Dr John Upledger, who recognised that the body often holds the echo of emotion, memory, and experience within its tissues. He observed that physical healing is not always complete until the emotional resonance has also been acknowledged and integrated.
Building on these foundations, my own approach has evolved into a broader field of somatic and creative practice — one that explores the intelligence of the body not only as a site of healing, but as a source of insight, imagination, and renewal. It draws on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy while expanding into mindfulness, imagery work, embodied inquiry, and creative process.
The Practice
Rather than viewing body and mind as separate, this work approaches the human system as an interconnected whole. The language of the body — sensation, movement, imagery, emotion — is understood as deeply interwoven with our mental and creative life.
SomatoEmotional Release offers a structured foundation for working through the body’s tissues and rhythms. The Somatic & Creative Process extends this framework, inviting mindfulness, imagery work, embodied inquiry, movement and reflective dialogue into the session. This blend of structure and responsiveness supports deep integration — a meeting of body, psyche, and spirit.
This work is often gentle, yet profound. It invites you to listen and move with your own internal rhythm, to release what no longer serves, and to open space for clarity, creativity, and authentic presence.
