More about Megan
Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist Megan represented Australia in Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, working in Hospitality and Retail to support this endeavour.
As a teenager, Megan sprained her ankle playing Netball and was treated by a Physiotherapist skilled in many modalities including Muscle Energy Technique, Visceral Manipulation, Counterstrain, and CranioSacral Therapy. Armed with some self-help techniques to assist with recovery from the physical demands of life as an athlete, Megan hoped that one day she would be able to assist others in the same way.
After feeling burnout from her athletic pursuits, Megan travelled to the South of France to study and practice meditation from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, living and working at a Buddhist community and monastery for several years.
Whilst in France Megan sought guidance with some personal health issues and was assisted back to good health through general medicine which was supported by several complementary medicines including Homeopathy, Tibetan Medicine, and CranioSacral Therapy.
Megan has studied CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute Australia and is looking forward to continuing her study and practice of CranioSacral Therapy in the future. Megan has also completed studies in Counterstrain.
Throughout her degree in Physiotherapy, Megan has had clinical experience treating infants, children and adults across different settings. Megan has an interest in practicing CranioSacral Therapy to benefit people of all ages.
In her spare time Megan continues to enjoy an active lifestyle, playing both indoor and beach volleyball, bike riding, using her home gym, and taking walks in the park. In her quiet time Megan enjoys meditation and cooking.
We offer an integrated approach to mindbody medicine through Holistic Manual Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release.
