Somatic Release Through Yoga, Breathwork and CranioSacral Therapy
We are pleased to offer you this unique blend of functional movement therapy, breath work and gentle manual treatment to aid the body (soma) in deep release.
This session combines Yin Yoga postures, pranayama (breath work) and CranioSacral Therapy to assist you in achieving deep relaxation, postural release and improved functional movement. Through the gentle combination of movement therapy, mindful breath work and manual techniques, you will be supported in finding more ease in your bodymindspirit.
This session will take place on the floor, on a thick yoga mat. You will be supported by a variety of yoga props (bolsters, blocks, straps etc) to assist your body move into a gentle yin yoga posture. Once in the posture, you will stay there for several minutes while your therapist guides you through breathing exercises that will enable you to surrender further into the posture and find ease in your body. Your therapist will also use gentle CranioSacral Therapy techniques to relieve fascial tensions that may be blocking a full experience of the posture.
The postures, breathing exercises and CranioSacral Therapy techniques used will be tailored individually to your bodies needs during the session. Your therapist will be aiming to support your body in relieving pain and dysfunction and moving gently toward wellness.
**Please note, as this session is performed on the floor with the support of yoga props, please wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move in.
